People ask me, “So, what do you do?”
It’s not always easy to explain—so I try to keep it simple:“I created a one-of-a-kind experience of food and fun at the Fort Worth Stockyards.”
If they’re curious, questions follow. And soon enough, they discover that Delectable Dilemmas—where escape rooms meet food tours—is something truly unique, unexpected, and maybe even a little irresistible.
But this one-of-a-kind tour wasn’t created overnight. And there's so much more to do.
Launching a lean MVP (minimum viable product) was essential, and I’ve followed the build–measure–learn path ever since. Even now, I’m not even close to the tour capacity we could handle on a weekend.
Being a solo entrepreneur is no joke. It messes with sleep, spikes my stress, and makes my social life… complicated.
So why not walk away? Why not call it and move on?
It’s tough. At the one-year mark, I’m still covering some startup costs, and a recent snag has slowed the momentum. Some days, I feel like a racehorse stuck in the gate—ready to run, just waiting for the go.
And when I’m standing still, here’s what keeps me going: Even if it’s at the eleventh hour, something always shows up to remind me why it’s worth it.
Recently, a mom—currently fighting cancer—brought her adult daughter on a tour. Not long into it, photos hit my phone: smiling faces, high fives, and a whole lot of joy. They had an absolute blast solving puzzles, exploring the Stockyards, and sharing great food and even better conversation.
That moment? Unforgettable.
And that’s the whole point.
Creating space for connection, laughter, and lasting memories—that’s the heart of Delectable Dilemmas.
So thanks to everyone who’s taken a chance on this experience. If you haven’t yet—come see for yourself what it’s all about.
